Junior Rollers is a fun, recreational learn to skate program for school aged kids and teens of all genders.
Adults of participating kids & teens are welcome to register for Junior Rollers also (same steps), or can register for SkateFit (our adult learn to skate program) and attend Junior Rollers for FREE!
The Junior Rollers Program will run for 2 hours over 9 sessions during Term 1 of 2024 starting 28th January
The program consists of two separate groups, each have different levels of insurance they require (see below for details)
JUNIOR learn to skate - sundays 12.30-1.30pm
This program is suitable for beginners through to more confident skaters. The focus of the program is for kids and teens to learn the basics of roller skating (how to get up, how to get down, how to start and how to stop) to enable them to skate safely around others. We then introduce some cool "tricks" to extend skaters based on their skill level. Skaters are encouraged to have a growth mindset and to set goals for themselves (instead of comparing themselves to others).

JUNIOR ROLLER DERBY - sundays 1.30-2.30pm
Higher level of insurance (Developmental) is required for Junior Roller Derby, and we request that you contact us to discuss the suitability of your child or teen for this program. In general, we require skaters to have completed at least 1 or 2 Terms of Junior Rollers previously or to have considerable roller skating experience (can confidently and safetly start, stop, fall and recover)

What if I want to learn to skate with my child?
Great! You're welcome to register yourself also (for Junior Learn to Skate only). Please note the program is aimed at children and teens however parents or carers of registered children are welcome to join in. If you'd like to join our adult class also just let us know (Monday nights 6.30-8.30pm at Churchill Leisure Centre, Thursday nights 7-9pm at Meeniyan Basketball Stadium).
